Yeah thats sleep paralysis alright. Feeling hands grabbing you and holding you down is a very common hallucination. I get sleep paralysis every night. I've been having more extreme bouts of it in the past 2 days though. Usually I pull myself out of paralysis 4 or 5 times then its over for the night. Last night and the night before I just kept going back into sleep paralysis so I just stop resisting it and went with it. Last night I lay there until visuals started. I was admiring all the crazy scenery and stuff that was popping up and I noticed old memories were resurfacing, memories I had long forgotten. At one point I started smelling latex gloves and I had the impression I was in a dentists office. It was a very unpleasant sensation though, the smell of latex gloves was very strong and I started remembering surgeries and stuff were I was supposedly asleep under anesthesia but was really only paralysed. I got the sense of some kind of evil presence and then I heard a voice behind me say "Come to me" in a slow, whispering voice like the kinda thing people hear in horror films. This scared me so I pulled myself out of paralysis. I realised I was sleeping on my hands and that day I was wearing latex gloves at lab at college so that would explain the smell lol. Interestingly enough, I washed my hands thoroughly that day and couldn't smell them while awake. I obviously had heightened sensitivity to smell while in sleep paralysis.

I quickly started praying for protection and asked my angels to please come and clear out any negative energies out of my room. It worked. I get this a lot too. I feel a dog biting my hands or feet but it doesn't hurt, it feels more like a dog playfully biting me. It actually feels good. I used to love sleep paralysis, it never scared me at all but I watched this documentary:

now every time I go into SP I think about this and get scared lol. It never used to scare me cuz I thought it was just some natural part of sleep like dreaming but sometimes I'd pull myself out of paralysis thinking "what the ♥♥♥♥ just happened" because it can be so intense. Like I said, I get it every night so I have had a lot more time to experiment with it than most people. Whether its scary or fun depends entirely on how you look at it. When you remember it can't hurt you and just relax, it becomes great fun. Kinda like an insane, hallucinatory rollercoaster.
