Hi kapootla.
I'm sorry you lost a friend. Sadly, it's part of life. The older we get, the more it happens - losing friends and family - those who formed such a big, influential part in our lives.
Out of interest, did you know Jerry before he got involved with LoA?
You ask about the Vortex. Abraham/Hicks have released various CDs and books about it. Have you not seen these? I'm just a bit puzzled that if you knew him (and, thus, surely aware of their works), that you are asking here for an explanation about it.
You talk about the joy you felt at Jerry going into the Vortex, yet end your post about the fear of it all. So, it sounds like you are going through some emotional turmoil.
I won't give you direct advice, as you have not specifically asked for it, but I hope you find some answers and more importantly, peace of mind,
Best Wishes,
Cantando
