Ubermensch Day #17 : Speak Sexy Korean

Polyphasic sleep: I slept from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM, for 4 hours of sleep. Then I took 2 naps, 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Looks like everything is going good.

Exercise: Went to the gym EARLY in the morning. Like at 7:00 AM. Saw the cardio bunny, she was there when I first started 12 months ago. I also saw this nerd who looks like he has slight down syndrome. It has been 12 months and I don’t see any visible improvement for him but then again, he just does random exercises.

This month marks the 13th month of my habit going to the gym regularly. This comes from intrinsic motivation. More of this below.

Reading:
30 pages of “How to control your KI” or “Spirit of the Samurai” by some old man (I assume) with a Ph.D. Talks about Samurai culture and how they control their mind – to have a mind of steel. I learning how to control my KI (mind). I consume 500 ml of alochol while reading, then I pass out.

Learning foreign language:

Today I briefly talked to a Korean chick, she looked shocked and asked if I’m Korean. “Just learning” said. She compliments on my pronunciation.

Instead of being a really pale SNSD Korean, she looks like an over worked, dark Chinese rice farmer. I only spoke Korean to her because the store is owned and run by a Korean family.

Business:

Woke up at 1:00 AM and felt motivated as ♥♥♥♥, partially out of boredom. Wrote 4 emails.

I need to write 156 emails for the email compaign. The email e-newsletter sends out 3 emails spaced per week (2, 2, 3). Therefore it requires 156 emails for a campaign that last per year.

Current progress: Email Marketing Follow ups: 7/156 emails

Daily Conclusion:

I have switched from extrinsic motivation (the money, the cars, the naked chick with enormous big boobs) to a more intrinsic motivation (money for freedom, to help people in need, improve to the best of my ability).

Apparently it helps, in terms of facing minor set backs and obtacles, but my jeez, life is a marathon of sustained progression. Like this blog, I’m not blogging for money, and I’m yelling into an empty crowd, yet I don’t give a ♥♥♥♥ and blog every. single. day.

Funny, I remember that 4-5 years ago I tried something similar to Project Ubermensch but I gave in 2 weeks in because I didn’t understand certain concepts, like sustained progress, incremental progress, and intrinsic motivation. Or, maybe it’s because I’m a bit older and wiser.
