There was someone at the Yahoo group who's grades in school didn't change after changing to polyphasic sleep. If you agree that grade more or less objectivly measure learning, the conclusion would be that polyphasic sleep doesn't have negative effects on learning.
Also nobody how adepted to polyphasic sleep feeled subjectivly that his learning ability suffered from it.
