Do you seriously think the only risk from smoking is lung cancer?

You also need to consider that smoking increases the risk of many other kinds of cancer (throat, mouth, bladder, stomach, cervical, pancreatic, and others). There's also an increased risk of heart disease, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, and other chronic lung problems.

I don't really care if people want to smoke (so long as they don't smoke where I am), but they really ought to know the risks before they decide to take up an expensive, addictive habit like that. There are risks, and they're not trivial, and they're not limited to cancer.
