When you reintroduce food it takes a little while to build up to solids. At first you start with juice primarily vegetable broths and incorporate some diluted fruit juices. Then you can add really soft fruits and veggies and so on. Ultimately I will say and I'm sure you have heard it before that if you fast for any length of time short or long and return to your normal eating routine that caused you to gain weight then you will always gain weight. Environment is more hereditary than genetics so you are absolutely in control as an adult. 30 days is long in an immediate gratification aspect but imagine how many days of your life you have spent hating your weight? It is worth it for long term benefits but you have to commit to changing your routine. It's not an overnight change but if you can give up one thing a week you will be on your way. I am all about this blog during this so feel free to keep writing and I will gladly respond
Well, my immediate goal is to try to ease myself into it for health reasons, I just don't want the side effect of weight gain.
I know for a fact I wouldn't be able to handle a very prolonged fast right now as I've never done it before, so I was thinking starting off with a few days at a time might be helpful.
Is that a good way to do it? Should I start off with longer fasts of fruit and veggie juices instead and then move into water?
