You are going crazy about this date because its the first one in three years time (If I did read your post right while skimming). Deep down I think you would want to date and so your mind is overreacting at the first instance. Your mind wants a relataionship and its just excited at the first instance in a long time.....I beleive this because you have mentioned that you arent attracted to this guy. I have had the same experience before.
Its just the very nature of the mind.......and I think you have figured that by now
