A common line of reasoning within pro lifers. Some people just have a harder time understanding the idea of nothingness. The reason you prefer being alive to not existing is precisely
because you are alive. Had you been aborted the question would never have crossed your mind...You wouldn't have a mind. You simply wouldn't exist. Maybe you might have felt some sense of pain before ceasing to exist. Nothing lost.
