I saw an aura today!
I learned about auras a year ago and since then I've been working on trying to see them. During my senior year of college I would practice on all my teachers in classes, especially in classrooms with predominately white walls.
At first I couldn't see much of anything. But as I learned to relax and worked on developing my periphial vision better, I started to see faint white glows around people. The glow wouldn't last too long though and it was hard if a teacher was constantly moving around. But I kinda made a habit of it especially if I was bored or sitting in a waiting room. I also started to take not of movements that I caught out of the corner of my eye and shadows that would appear. Eventually I could "hold" the aura in my vision better, but I still couldn't see colors.
I graduated school in May and I just started my first job. Today I was sitting in a benefits meeting. The room was all white and the presenter had trouble bringing the lights up to full power so the room was a bit more dim than normal. I sat back and just relaxed. The thought came to mind that "wouldn't it be cool if I could see her aura - colors and all". With nothing else to do but sit there and listen I started to see a faint white outline. Eventually this grew into a turquiose aura with hints of yellow. The aura came really easily to me and I was able to hold it in my sight as she moved. Another presenter came in and I was able to also see his aura as well. His was not as bright I think because he was able to turn the lights up a bit.
Anyway just wanted to share with everyone. After having practiced for almost a year, it was really exciting to see some colors today! I first got into seeing auras after reading "You Are Psychic" (which is a really cool book for learning how to pick up on your own psychic senses).
Has anyone else had an experience similar to mine? Does anyone see full blown auras on a regular basis and have any advice on the colors and their meanings?
p.s. Sometimes this stuff is so hard to talk about with people. Thank god for the Internet! I've had people joke and call me "aura girl" when I tell them about it. But it's hard to deny when you see it with your own eyes!!!
