I'm in the same boat with Beingist here, but let me just say that you KNOW the negative repercussions that can happen with smoking (it's hammered down out throats time and time again by both anti-smoking propaganda and, well, a large amount of random people). If you don't feel comfortable with it, and feel like you don't have all the facts, either just don't do it or do your own research.
In short, make your own decision.
