Smoking conventional cigarettes will mess you up if you have more than a couple a week but organic tobacco smoked in a pipe isn't nearly as bad because it lacks the additives and chemicals found in most cigarettes. "Smoking is bad" is just as erroneous as campaigns that say "drugs are bad" or "sex is bad." All of them are dangerous if they're done without knowledge or caution but in every case there's a sane and safe way to do it, you've just got to be willing to learn your limits and stay within them.
