So now we have a house, a bed, furniture, great clothes, high tech toys, and are all vacay'ed out. And I have another 11,000 to enjoy. Life's pretty sweet!

Honestly the next big step is the wedding... We've been talking about it for a good while now, but the stars just weren't aligned. Now, being within reasonable distance of our families, with an easier administrative path and a load of cash, it's perfect.

This is the dress I want. Minus the lace hem and worn with a dark orange petticoat. Short Wedding Dress Dolly Couture Beverlywood Silk | DollyCouture.com
We also have a fairly decent idea of what we want the reception to be like (my grandparents' backyard, few people, laid back, no table plan and no dumb traditions) and I have some very definitive thoughts on the catering. We also both have very simple taste in jewelry and don't like bling. It may take time to find the rings we want, but not much money. All in all it will be a relatively inexpensive process so with all the extra money I will just buy myself the luxury of a wedding planner to handle all last minute crises, so I have no crap to deal with on D day!

In other manifestation news, the boy is one of a handful last standing for a sweet job in Germany. They ok'd his salary expectations, too. It's quite generous. If (if? when!) it pans out it will be the best thing to happen to us in months.
