Getting past the "I shouldn't get paid" syndrome was tough for me too.

But then I reasoned it this way.

We all have to make a living. We all have to eat. So we all need to be paid to do something.

Isn't it better for me to be paid to do what I'm here to do, to help people? Otherwise I have to be paid to do something I'm NOT here to do, like push papers around a desk and answer phones and help other people achieve their goals. and then I have less time to do what I'm really here to do, which would be a huge disservice to the people I'm here to help.

When we allow ourselves to receive money for the work we're really here to do, we fulfill a mission, and then we can improve our skills to help people more.
