[...] November 30, 2007 It’s normal for people to be skeptical about EFT because it’s so out of the ordinary and different from what we know. Funny thing, I wasn’t skeptical about EFT when I learned about it five years ago. Like many people, I came across EFT quite by accident. Being curious I thought, “How weird and interesting, can’t hurt, I’ll try it.” Skepticism is handy. Just don’t make it a way of life. I like what Steve Pavlina says in his post, The Death of Skepticism, “If our beliefs are just a self-fulfilling prophecy, then the prophecy of skepticism is a lame one to fulfill. All you manifest is evidence that causes you to continue doubting. It would be hard to manifest a more boring reality than that.” [...]

[...] I have to admit that even though I really am a new creation, I still have some messed up thinking patterns. Truth be told I am still pretty much a skeptic. Steve Pavlina suggests I should kill my skepticism. [...]

[...] This morning I decided to have a little reading material with my Kashi GoLean Crunch! cereal, so I fired up my [Flock][1] browser to read all the [RSS][2] news that I subscribe to. That’s when I ran across The Death of Skepticism from the personal development blog of Steve Pavlina . com. To be honest, I do read his stuff with a little bit of skepticism because, like he defines skepticism in the article, I don’t want to be too gullible and get taken advantage of. However, this article articulates some of the mental transformations that I’ve been making about my own spiritual walk. He doesn’t bring in any discussion of spirituality, but rather contrasts objectivity/skepticism and subjectivity/experiential-ism (if that’s even a word). This article has given me a non-christian-ese way to dialogue about the shift that I am making in my thoughts/expectations/responses about/to life. [...]
