[...] Lately I’ve been reading a blog Steve Pavlina titled Personal Development for Smart People. On Steve’s blog he post a lot of good points about his life being self employed and business life coaching information for readers like myself who plan on being self employed one day as well. The two post that really got my attention was, “How to Become an Early Riser” and “10 Ways to Optimize Your Normal Days” . Both post talks about waking up early is one of the keys to success. Also on another site about Becoming a Freelance Web Developer written by Garrett Dimon he says:”If you can’t get out of bed on time everyday, you just might have a hard time being disciplined enough to be your own boss.” So the question for the self employed and business owners alike what time do you rise? Posted by Wayne Sutton on a long way from 113 [...]

[...] If you find this job, then that will solve a greater part of the equation for you. After finding this job, or converting your job to fulfil these aspects you need to look at ways to convert your tasks to enjoyable tasks. Some of the things like doing small tweaks to your environment, etc will help in some ways. You can find tips for these in Steve Pavlina’s article here. Here Steve actually speaks of ways in which you can get more enjoyable tasks done in a day. I guess you can take that as a guide and come up with a list of things that you may like to include in your day. A few things that I enjoy having each day is the time that I spend with my family, specially my wife. I enjoy the time I spend driving to and from work with her. This is our private time that we talk about a lot of things. [...]

10 Ways to Optimize Your Normal Days

Many years ago an old friend and I were discussing the meaning of life. He said, “I don’t think the point of life is to accomplish a certain level of external success. I believe we’re actually here to acquire and enjoy experiences.”

[...] Today is a good day. I finally woke up feeling energised. Probably more energised than before I was ill. Whenever I feel this way, I think the illness was meant to wake up me up from some dreamy-lethargic state I am in. I don’t feel that way when I’m actually sick because then, you’re just trying to fight the sickness. But after that, I feel refreshed. So refreshed that I thought I can start to make some improvements to my normal days as suggested by Steve. [...]
