[...] I purchased the eBook version through the author’s website, after reading about it in Steve Pavlina’s article. The book, The Type-Z Guide to Success: A Lazy Person’s Manifesto to Wealth and Fulfillment, is a manifestation to the book’s objective. True to the Type-Z philosophy, the book is short and sweet and to the point. The author, Marc Allen, claims that he is as lazy and unorganized as it comes. He does not work on Monday, and frequently sleep until past 11, which I can completely relate. [...]

[...] I was reading in Steve Pavlina’s blog about how you can make your life a success by working less not more. I like this idea. There are many rich people that work twice as much as I do, but are they actually a success? I think a successful person not only has money and things but has a happy family. That’s my true measure of success. I don’t agree, however that you can be lazy and be a success as Marc Allen says in his book. Granted, I haven’t read his entire book, but I did read several of the sample pages he has available on his website. I agree that you have to have perseverance, but laziness doesn’t get you anywhere. Maybe the key to his succes is goal setting. Without a goal to shoot for, you’re shooting for nothing.
[...] I think Steve Pavlina in his review of The Type-Z Guide to Success With Ease by Marc Allen says it nicely: If you work very hard without much rest, you may do a lot of things right. But many of the tasks you complete may ultimately be trivial. If you were to work fewer hours, you’ll have to drop some activities. And what you’ll likely drop will be the least important tasks that need not be done at all. If you work 60+ hours a week, you probably have a lot of waste that could be pruned from your schedule with minimal consequences.
