[...] I’m totally convinced that my mind works in mysterious ways… it seems to put ideas together while I’m sleeping, working, relaxing, and sometimes I find things in my meandering around the internet that startle me, as if they read my mind and answered the questions I wasn’t yet ready to ask. One example of the latter is an essay by Steve Pavlina, who has a lot of really fascinating stuff on his site. He discusses what to do with your life, encouraging the decision to be aligned with your purpose. This and many other articles really got my mind spinning, spinning, spinning… but without the nasty dizziness that comes with spinning. [...]

[...] Not taking the time to find and develop your gifts should be illegal. But most people don’t do it anyways, and instead decide to seek out people who do, and latch onto them. But that person owes you nothing. You can undergo the same difficult growing process they went through, only on your own. You may do it slower, but you can still do it. [...]

[...] There is a post with the above title in Steve Pavlina’s blog. This is a very interesting article. Also, this article re-iterates the points I have made based on Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Steve’s article is like a summary of these three habits: Be Proactive, Begin With the End In Mind, and First Things First. [...]

[...] The well worth reading blog by Steve Pavlina had a fantastic article, I’d recommend to everyone. It’s a long, complex look at finding your purpose, your passion, your calling in this life time. I know that I’ve heard that so many times in my life, I almost wake up expecting to hear it. “Do what you love, and the money will follow.” I truly believe in that. Logically it only makes sense, you tend to spend more time on and learn more quickly about things you love. And usually when you spend more time on and learn quicker than most people about a certain subject, you already have created value that other’s may be interested in paying for. I’m not talking about spending 4 years in college in computer science, and then getting paid in a good job to work with computers. I’m talking about someone who absolutely LOVES to cook, who would do it just about anywhere for free, going out and cooking. An example of true passion: [...]

[...] Steve Pavlina kirjoittaa loistavassa Personal Development -blogissaan siitä, että meidän pitää päättää, mitä elämältämme haluamme, muuten joku tai jokin muu tekee sen puolestamme: Deciding what to do with your life isn’t remotely easy. Most people never make this decision at all. But since we all end up doing something, if we don’t make this decision consciously, then a decision will still be made, but it will be an unconscious one. [...]
