[...] A couple nights ago I dreamt I was eating only raw food, so this diet has infected my dreams. Something similar happening when I first went vegan. After a while I began favoring vegan food in my dreams too. If I dreamt I ate something like hot dogs, I’d get really confused because it wouldn’t feel right. When I have a lucid dream, I never eat animal products; even though I know they aren’t real, I can’t bring myself to try them without being totally disgusted by the idea.
[...] Maybe you have never heard of lucid dreaming, or maybe you have. Maybe you’ve even had one before. I’d heard of lucid dreaming but never given it much consideration. But in my unending quest to better myself, I finally began to consider the prospect of lucid dreaming. But until recently I’d always thought that lucid dreaming was just another hokey myth, like Bigfoot or the Easter Bunny. Then I came across a blog on Steve Pavlina’s site. The podcast featuring his wife Erin really intrigued me. It was at this point that I began to take lucid dreaming a little more seriously. [...]

[...] Imagine you’re having a dream. In that dream what exactly are YOU? Are YOU the physical dream character you identify with? No, of course not — that’s just your dream avatar. YOU are the dreamer. The entire dream occurs within your consciousness. All dream characters are projections of your dream thoughts, including your avatar. In fact, if you learn lucid dreaming, you can even switch avatars in your dream by possessing another character. In a lucid dream, you can do anything you believe you can.
[...] I didn’t remember much else about the dream. But I remembered this. There are certain buses in life that come along now and again. You have bought the ticket for the bus. You have already made your choice. If during the journey you just “had to pee”, you can always get off the bus. I wonder if this what is meant by Lucid Dreaming. [...]

[Link] [...]

[...] How do I learn to astral project? As you may have read from my first encounter, I didn’t exactly do it on purpose. That came with time, experience, and trust. I spent 3 years reading books and trying to project and couldn’t. What I finally realized is this: the body really doesn’t want it’s soul leaving for any extended periods, so it’s really hard to separate the two. You need to raise your vibration to a really high frequency in order to get out of your body. To do that, you need to move your life in the direction of high awareness. You definitely need to learn to control and set aside fear or you’ll attract some negative entities to your bedside. The reason I think I was finally able to do it is because I learned how to stay conscious while in an unconscious state, aka lucid dreaming. Listen to my podcast about lucid dreaming for details on how to do that. Essentially, you need to find your consciousness, and learning to lucid dream is an excellent way to do that. Meditation may also work, but it’s much easier, in my opinion, to astral project once you’re already familiar with lucid dreaming because you’re halfway there at that point. Intention is also extremely important. You must also learn to protect yourself and your body while you’re in an astral state, which I will explain in future entries.
