No Division

Ben Averch, a reader of this site, told me the post My Favorite Meditation really reasonated with him and inspired him to write a song called “No Division.” I thought it was wonderful, so I asked him if I could post it here to share it with everyone, and he said he’d be thrilled.

last night I met my future self
he was strong and sure and confident
he said ‘everything we’ve ever done
has brought us to this place’last night I saw myself from years ago
trying to make sense of the worlds we know
I said ‘what you see as time is just dazzling your eyes
you will see that everything is fine’in the night there’s no division
just reality in full
no more scattered fragments
just the universal pull — to elevatelast night I saw that I exist outside of time
the presence that is underneath the surface noise

I hope that your readers enjoy this song. It’s something I’m very proud of. It shows you that when you put positive energy into the world as you did with your post on the future/past self meditation, it can bounce around the world and multiply and kind of become embodied in new forms.

LOL, when I first saw this, I was a little dubious… but this truly is wonderful. Ben, you certainly are talented! And it’s nice to hear a song with meaningful lyrics.
