Thanks for the Suggestions

Thanks for all the suggestions with respect to the Suggest a Topic post. This has given me greater clarity in understanding which topics people want to see covered next. I’m always open to suggestions, so please keep them coming if you have more.

Right now the leading suggestions were for topics 1 and 7. These were:
1. I have no idea what I should be doing with my life. How do I figure this out? How do I know which goals to set?
7. I’d like to hear your comments on increasing your energy. I often find myself mentally drained and was wondering what advice you have for feeling revved up and focused all day long.

These are both very complex questions where a single post would have a hard time doing it justice, so I’d have to do a series on them as I did with the topic of self-discipline.

My views on both of these topics are non-mainstream, but that’s pretty much a given because you don’t achieve high levels of energy and fulfillment by aiming for average.

I’ll start with #1, especially since a lot of other questions relate to it. It basically requires that we tackle the question, “What is the meaning of life?” I’m up for a challenge. :)

I think I’ll need to approach this from the perspective of my personal journey through this question, thereby answering the question, “What is the meaning of MY life?” and explaining how I came upon my current answer to that question. This will require that I address topic #10 (my religious/spiritual beliefs) along the way.

I’ll kick this off within the next few days.

Looking forward to reading your work, Steve. You have inspired me - I am currently experimenting with your ” How to Become an Early Riser” suggestions, and am really enjoying the extra time I have to do things and enjoy quality time.

Interesting topic. You’ve covered it in detail by your previous posts.

People just need to browse your older posts on this blog for
many enlighting ideas to answer those questions.

Nevertheless, it’s a great topic to read more on this and explore
    further - just don’t reiterate and don’t replicate ;)

And what exactly is it about you that people are scared of?

  7. Richard Says:

I know this is a late entry but how about some discussions on dealing with conflict and showing emotion at the workplace. These are two issues which is indirectly forcing me to look for a new job.

I read “How to Become an Early Riser” and wake up at 3AM these days.
Damn you, Steve Pavalina, damn you!
We shall see how long this lasts.
