I find all the articles on this website very useful. I find it important to step back regularly to (re)define ones goals and assess the progess made. I nonetheless sometimes have the feeling that some of the tips are somewhat to rationale. There are things happening in life which one cannot always measure and sometimes you just need to open yourself for the things happening. One can use every free minute to work on one's goals but maybe it is also important to be open that very minute for a smile, a word, an encounter, an external scene. Maybe it does not help progressing on one's goals but it brings oneself foward in a very subtle way, which might be beyond our rationale or direct understanding.

When I was younger I used to make a program for myself. Every day I used to note the number of minutes I stuck to the plan and the number of minutes I did something else.

Then I used to graph the value every day.

It gave me a really good incentive in those days.

However now I lost almost 90% of that self-discipline. Don't know why. I have a horribly disorganised working schedule.

And yet I still achieve.
