Hi Steve,

Your blog was one of the most inspiring pieces that I read in recent times. I was searching for a blog of Les Brown and I landed to your blog.
Thanks a lot. I believe that to dream big, we need to associate with people who dream big. Your blogs would be a good companion for my journey towards my goal.

Keep it up!

I can't answer the question of whether a goal is right or wrong for you -- you're the only one who can make that decision.

One question I ask to determine whether a goal is right or wrong for me is, "What would happen if I were to succeed? What then?" This sheds light on what lies beyond the goal, which makes it easier to see if the goal is off course from my purpose or perhaps just feels more empty/pointless than I expected.

One of the biggest stumbling blocks to achieving big goals is just getting yourself to believe you can do it. If deep down you don't really expect to succeed, then it's not the goal that you need to work on but rather your own self-esteem... not that it's bad per se, but just that it may need to stretch to encompass a higher vision of yourself.

I was intrigued by what Les Brown had to say about increasing your goals, but sometimes I have trouble just achieving my own admittedly limited goals. Do I have the wrong goal if I've been trying to do something and failing for 24 years, or is it just an idle dream?

I really enjoyed your summary of the speakers. You have inspired me to start reading books by some of the authors that you mention above.

Thanks!
