I am a lover of quotes and you mentioned a couple of quotes in your entry that reminded me of a letter I wrote to my girlfriend/bridesmaid over a year and a half ago. I titled it "The Power of Our Words".

I still have yet, to read 'As a Man Thinketh'. I look forward to reading it.
Also, I have never heard of Earl Nightingale and look forward to discovering his writings.

The two quotes I wanted to share with you and also shared within my letter to my girlfriend are:

"Whether you say you can or whether you say you cannot, you are right."
~Henry Ford

and Walter Anderson ... both the books I have read of his are so full of much richness.

"The truth is, you and I define who we are every day by the choices we make, and thus we CHOOSE who we WANT TO BE... I create myself. I invent myself. You and I are not what we eat; we are what we think. Confidence, by definition, is an attitude - we acquire our attitudes and our attitude towards people and situations is subject to change. The world will always remain the same; how you SEE the world will be different!"
~Walter Anderson

Lastly, I recently discovered this quote by Meryl Streep:

"We are the choices we make".

It makes me smile.

There are so many other empowerful reminders such as the ones above and the ones you shared.

My first reaction to "seed the right thoughts" was "1984" by G. Orwell. ;-)

To me, more rational approach is to set goals and to "cultivate burning desire" and then right thoughts will follow.
